Three people dead in Optus Triple Zero outage
Optus General Manager Stephen Rue announced at a last -minute press conference, three people died during a triple zero network deduction, the result of the upgrade of the network.

Rue, journalists late on Friday, last -minute press conference, “Our investigation continues, but at this stage I can verify that 600 customers are potentially affected, some of the calls did not pass,” he said.
“I can verify that this technical failure is now corrected. In the process of executing welfare controls, it was recommended that three of the triple zero calls were tragically died.
“Please know that these prosperity controls are continuing. I want to offer a sincere apology to everyone.
I offer the most sincere and sincere condolences to the families and friends of the customers who cannot connect to emergency services when they need the most.
