India News Live Updates: Baramati braces for Ajit Pawar’s final journey today

It is carried out by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar after a public funeral in the town he represented for decades.
The ‘Antim Yatra’ is scheduled to start at 9 am at Vidya Pratishthan campus (Gadima). Pawar’s body will be placed in a specially decorated car, adorned with flowers and carrying his portrait, before being driven through important places in the city for citizens and party workers to pay their last respects. The funeral ceremony will be held at Vidya Pratishthan Ground around 11 am.
Supporters and Nationalist Congress Party workers have been gathering in large numbers at Baramati since early morning. Many people gathered outside Ahilyabai Holkar Hospital, where Pawar’s body was kept before being moved to his home ahead of the procession.
