Woman ‘beheaded boyfriend’ after catching him ‘trying to abuse son’ | World | News

A woman allegedly killed and beheaded her boyfriend, claiming she caught him trying to molest her young son in their Itaquaquecetuba apartment. Police detained 24-year-old Paula Ellen Neves da Silva following the death of her partner, 32-year-old Daniel dos Santos. Officers said the woman later admitted carrying out the attack, which took place in the flat she shared with her two children, aged three and six.
Investigators believe the couple spent the evening drinking and drinking drugs with a friend who left the property about 90 minutes before the murder. According to police, the suspect told officers he was lying on the living room floor and pretending to be asleep while the victim was sitting on a nearby couch. She later claimed that she saw her son trying to open his diaper.
He said he immediately took the knife and stabbed her. It was reported that during the argument, the man tried to defend himself by using a serrated knife and the woman was injured in her hand.
Following the attack, police claimed the woman beheaded the victim and placed his head in a backpack. Investigators said the woman then dragged the body into the bathroom, then washed the knife and partially cleaned the blood from the couch and floor.
Authorities said the woman contacted her ex-husband (the father of her children), as well as her mother and brother, to tell them what happened. Relatives told officers they initially found it hard to believe his claims until they sent him photos and footage of the dismembered body.
When the teams arrived at the apartment, they found that the crime scene had been partially cleared. The victim’s body was discovered in the bathroom with “multiple stab wounds”, while his head was found inside a backpack. Police said the couple had been in a relationship for about two months.
CCTV footage from the apartment block also captured a third man, Samuel Christian Silva Santos, at the premises before the incident. He later gave a statement to police, saying he didn’t notice anything unusual.
The woman was arrested and interrogated by the Civil and Military Police. When asked by Hello, Você When asked on the news show if he had any regrets, he replied: “I’d do it all again.”
Detectives say the case has been booked as aggravated murder, procedural fraud and concealment of a body.
Officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the murder and say there is currently insufficient evidence to support a claim of self-defence. Prosecutors requested that the detention be converted into preventive detention. The investigation is still ongoing.
