Teen killed, 4 hurt in L.A. County holiday gunfire
A shooting occurred on a residential street in Antelope Valley on Christmas Day, leaving one teenager dead and four others injured.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Lancaster Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the 1000 block of East Angela Court in Lancaster after receiving a report of a shooting victim around 1 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they saw a 16-year-old boy unconscious in the street, shot with a bullet. Life-saving measures, including CPR, were administered, but the victim later died from his injuries.
While deputies were securing the scene, a second shooting victim was located, prompting requests for additional ambulance and fire resources, according to Key News Network’s news video service. That victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
A possible third gunshot victim later arrived by private vehicle at Antelope Valley Medical Center, where deputies intervened to assist and continue the investigation, according to KNN.
