A-level results: Record number of UK students accepted onto university courses
While the 18 -year -olds celebrated the results of the A -level results, a record number of students were admitted to university or university courses.
Hundreds of thousands of students in Britain, Wales and Northern Ireland discovered the results of A level and acid on Thursday morning, and many learned whether there was a place on the course.
The new UCAS data reveals that 255.130 UK was accepted to the university or college in 2024 compared to 243,650 in 2024 and showed an increase of almost 5 percent (4.7 percent).
In general, the figures show that 82 percent of those who hold an offer on Thursday morning, the first preferences were placed in the same rate compared to last year.
UCAS said that a total of 439,180 applicants were accepted and that there was an increase of more than 3 percent in 425.860 last year – the number of students with the highest number of students.

“Every young people should have the opportunity to obtain and develop. This government will not be with the settled inequalities that continue to burn the chances of life of too many young people, especially those who have been overlooked for a long time.
“We already take decisive actions and make encouraging progress. We give the tools they need to get great jobs for young people, filling the ability gaps and direct economic growth as a part of our plan of change, with great options for traditional university paths from degrees apprentices and high -quality technical qualities.”
