The petition alleged that children at the facility were “exposed to trauma, neglect, and conditions that violate basic standards of health, safety, dignity, and human rights.”

“We call on the federal government and CoreCivic to immediately close the Dilley facility, return children and families to the homes and communities from which they were taken, and immediately end the incarceration of children,” the petition reads. It was said. “Our commitment does not end with the shutdown. We demand transparency, accountability, and systemic reforms to prevent these abuses from occurring anywhere in the United States.”

Many celebrities in the petition, including Bardem, Ruffalo, and Einbinder, frequently criticized ICE officers, often using major award shows as platforms.

As of Tuesday, the petition had more than 20,000 signatures.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a spokesperson for CoreCivic accused the petition of being part of many “unfounded claims and allegations” launched by individuals who “provide false information or intentionally mislead the public.”

“More than just wrong, these harmful efforts undermine the public service-centered work that our dedicated and professionally trained staff complete every day to provide a safe and humane environment for the families and children entrusted to our care,” the spokesperson said.

A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson addressed the celebrities, adding that the Trump administration and DHS “are focused on protecting children and will continue to work with federal, state, and local law enforcement to reunite children with their families.”

“These celebrities remain silent about the humanitarian crisis produced by the Biden Administration’s open border policies over the past four years and the vast numbers of children being exploited, trafficked and missing. Do they plan to talk about the psychiatric impact on many people and the tens of thousands of children smuggled across the border by sex traffickers?” the spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

The petition comes after YouTube children’s entertainer Ms. Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso, spoke out against the Dilley Immigration Processing Center. Accurso, who also signed the petition, told NBC News that he no longer cares if he is labeled “political” for his actions.

“I’m political,” Accurso said. “It is political to believe that children are worthy of love and care, that every child is equal, and that our care should not be limited to how we look, our family, our religion, or a border.”
