The Epstein files were finally released and Donald Trump’s name was not revealed. Last month, the US Congress passed, with overwhelming bipartisan support, the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which forces the US Department of Justice to release all confidential material related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein within 30 days in a “searchable and downloadable format”.

The law explicitly called for the release of travel records, materials related to Epstein’s associates, relevant immunity agreements, relevant corporate records, all internal Justice Department communications related to investigations, and documents related to Epstein’s death in 2019. The mention of his name in the files does not mean any mistake. Mr. Trump, who signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, has consistently denied any wrongdoing regarding Epstein and has never been accused of wrongdoing in connection with investigations into the convicted sex offender.
