A73 crash: Four people including kids rushed to hospital | UK | News

Two adults and two children were taken to hospital after a two-vehicle collision on the A73 in Scotland. The road between Lanark and Carluke reopened after the vehicles collided at around 8.50am on Saturday morning. Emergency services teams arrived at the scene and took 2 adults and 2 children to the hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.
Police Scotland said: “The A73 Lanark Road between Lanark and Carluke has reopened following a two vehicle crash reported at around 8.50am on Saturday, January 31. Emergency services attended and two adults and two children were taken to hospital for treatment. We thank road users for their patience.”
While crash investigators continued to work at the scene, officers closed the road for eight hours and then reopened it around 4.50pm.
During this period, drivers were asked to stay away from the area while the injured were treated and cleaning efforts continued.
A Police Scotland spokesman said yesterday: “The A73 Lanark Road has been closed between Lanark and Carluke following a two vehicle crash reported to police at around 8.50am on Saturday, January 31.
“Emergency services are on standby and road users are advised to avoid the area.”
