Hooghly CSL to construct two luxury cruise vessels

The Hooghly Cochin Shipyard, a fully subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited, will build two luxury river cruise ships to be operated in Brahmaputra by Heritage River Journeys Private Limited, which operates under the brand of Antara River Cruises.
The luxury cruise operator made a construction contract with Hooghly CSL as part of the project. The first ship was signed by Founding and President Raj Singh according to the release of CEOG Director Sanil Peter, Hooghly CSL and Madhu S. Nair, President and General Manager, Cochin Shipie Limited.
The contract strengthens a common commitment to the growth of luxury river cruise tourism in the country, while representing the synergy of world -class shipbuilding expertise and high -level river hospitality. New ships promise to reflect a powerful pressure on identifying new criteria for luxury, safety and sustainability in internal navigation and the unity government’s attempt to ‘Make’ attempt in India ‘attempt, and shows India’s capacity to design and build competitive cruise ships globally in international standards.
