Nitika stated that she married Vikram Nagdev, a Pakistani origin resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, in Karachi on January 26, 2020, on a long-term visa. Soon after the wedding, Vikram brought Nitika to India.
However, according to NDTV, Nitika was abandoned at the Attari border on July 9, 2020 and sent back to Pakistan. She claims that since then Vikram has made no effort to bring her back.
In the video call, Nitika claimed that she came to know about her husband’s affair and informed her father-in-law, but was surprised that he did not offer help. He later learned that Vikram was planning a second marriage with a woman in Delhi.
Nitika filed a written complaint on January 27, 2025. It has been reported that the case has come before the Sindhi Panch Mediation and Legal Counseling Centre, authorized by the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
Notices were later sent to Vikram and the alleged fiancee. However, a report from the Center dated April 30, 2025 stated that the matter fell under Pakistan’s jurisdiction as Nitika and Vikram were not Indian citizens.
