Forensic teams, dogs descend on scene of alleged murder

Anyone with security cameras in the area or who believes they saw the motorcycle is asked to contact the police.

Police believe the defendant was known to Woods.

“We’re still trying to determine the circumstances of their relationship and what happened,” Harmer said.

He urged anyone who knows Woods or the accused man or knows anything about their relationship to contact police.

Officers allege the suspect left the Cressbrook Creek area “sometime after Woods’ disappearance” and was found on the Gold Coast.

A Cressbrook Creek address was linked to the man, but police were still trying to determine the address where he lived.

Harmer said police expect it will take days to process the scene.

“Forensic examination has been carried out at both crime scenes to identify evidence and will continue in the coming days,” Harmer said.
