Donald Trump LIVE: US President to make pivotal address on Iran | US | News

President Donald Trump will address the nation with an update on the U.S. and Israel’s war against Iran in a televised address from the White House on Wednesday, April 1 at 9 p.m.

The president will provide “an important update on Iran” to the US public. He is expected to reassure the nation that the operation in Iran will end in the coming weeks.

According to reports, Trump is expected to boast about his country’s success. “And tonight at 9 o’clock, I’m going to make a little speech and basically… I’m going to tell everyone how wonderful I am,” he said in a video shared by the White House at the Easter luncheon earlier today.

The luncheon was closed to the media and the video has since been deleted but is still circulating.

The announcement came after U.S. Central Command said it had hit more than 12,300 targets in Iran per month in the war.

In a letter to Americans before his speech, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian said the war was an “invasion and occupation” of his country and reiterated that Iran had no ill will towards the ordinary people of the United States.
