IPL 2026: From Ashwin to AB de Villiers, here’s full commentators list
As expectations mount for two months of high-octane cricket, fans will be able to: follow every match and follow every moment across platforms. For the first time, viewers will be able to watch the IPL champions on JioHotstar as well as an exclusive digital broadcast offering live match information.
Multi-language coverage and immersive viewing
With over 150 presenters and experts, JioStar will offer over 20 broadcasts across JioHotstar and Star Sports Network. While the telecast is available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, JioHotstar is expanding the reach to 12 languages by adding Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Haryanvi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati and Malayalam.
The broadcast also includes immersive features such as Indian Sign Language and audio descriptive broadcast.
JioHotstar is bringing back the MaxView feature in Hindi and English along with the multi-camera experience that allows fans to switch between five viewing angles namely Hero Cam, Stump Cam, Batter Cam, Field View and multi-view option.
Big names headline comment panel
Former India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will commentate for JioStar this season and join an elite panel that includes Virender Sehwag, AB de Villiers, Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Faf du Plessis and Anil Kumble.
The squad is further strengthened with experienced voices such as Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar, Michael Clarke, Eoin Morgan, Aaron Finch, Dale Steyn and Kevin Pietersen.
New Hindi companion experience
The new Hindi digital streaming will feature Ashwin, Raina, Harbhajan, Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, Umesh Yadav, Cheteshwar Pujara and Aakash Chopra. This segment promises locker room anecdotes, untold stories and tactical insights during live matches.
Regional flavor and returning sounds
The Tamil broadcast will feature contributions from former Sri Lankan cricketer Russel Arnold and popular RJ Balaji. Names returning to the streams include Navjot Singh Sidhu, Ajay Jadeja, Kiran More, S Badrinath and Manvinder Bisla.
