‘Act of aggression’: India condemns Pakistan’s air strikes in Afghanistan

Describing it as yet another act of aggression by a Pakistani establishment that remains hostile to the idea of ​​a sovereign Afghanistan, India on Saturday severely condemned Pakistan’s latest strikes on Afghan territory that led to the deaths of scores of civilians and massive losses to local infrastructure.

Afghan officials confirmed on Saturday that several civilians were killed in Pakistani air strikes on Friday in Kabul, Kandahar, Pktika and Paktia provinces.

Responding to media queries on Pakistan’s recent attacks on Afghanistan, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “India condemns Pakistan’s airstrikes on Afghan territory, which have led to the death of large numbers of civilians and destruction of civilian infrastructure. This is yet another aggressive act by the Pakistani establishment, which is hostile to the idea of ​​a sovereign Afghanistan.” he said.
“India reiterates that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Afghanistan must be fully respected,” the statement said.
