Adam Peaty’s mother posts a message about ‘dark times’ after Gordon Ramsay hit back at ‘bullying’ claims amid bitter family feud

Adam Peaty’s estranged mother Caroline has posted a message about ‘dark times’ after Gordon Ramsay hit back at claims he was a bully.
Olympian Adam, 31, married the TV chef’s eldest daughter Holly, 26, at Bath Abbey in December amid a fierce row in which her mother, 60, was not invited and sister Bethany was the only relative in attendance.
After Gordon, 59, was branded a “bully” by the Peaty family for claiming the dispute was “spontaneous”, he accused them of talking “complete nonsense” and unleashing a “storm of negativity”.
Caroline has since shared a serene image of the sunset with the caption: ‘You are living proof that you can go through the darkest of times and still come out kind, radiant, true and loving.’
Responding to the family’s claim last week, the chief, who walked his daughter down the hall, said: Sun: ‘I’m definitely not a bully and it’s so appalling to even suggest that there is any bullying,’ he sighed.
‘This is absolute nonsense. It was sad to see the barrage of negativity launched by them.

Caroline has since shared a serene sunset photo with the words: ‘You are living proof that you can go through the darkest of times and still come out kind, radiant, real and loving.’
‘But Adam is an incredible young lad and he and Holly are a wonderful, happy young couple.’
Ramsay previously told the Daily Mail that he and wife Tana “did nothing wrong” and treated the Peaty family “like royalty” during preparations for their son’s wedding, despite reports to the contrary.
But a relative claimed the TV chef had now ‘taken the family too far’.
They said: ‘How brave they are. The sheer courage of these.
‘The Ramsays did not treat Caroline as royalty in any way; They treated him like he was nothing. They ignored her presence and Miss Ramsay never once returned any of Caroline’s messages.’
They told The Sun: ‘The promised lunch on the engagement day never took place either.’
The Daily Mail has contacted Gordon Ramsay’s representatives for comment.
Last month the family reportedly told friends they had ‘given up hope’ of reconciling with their son after Gordon’s latest social media comment.
Olympian Adam, 31, married the TV chef’s eldest daughter Holly, 26, at Bath Abbey in December amid a fierce row that left her mother, 60, uninvited.
The chef, who was walking his daughter down the corridor, said: ‘I am absolutely not a bully and to even suggest that there was any bullying is appalling.’
The chef referred to himself as ‘dad’ in his comment on Adam’s wedding video, and the Olympian said he would ‘always choose’ new wife Holly.
An insider said: ‘It was a really emotional time for them as a family. They are starting to accept what happened and that Adam chose his side.
‘It destroyed any hope of reconciliation in the near future. They keep their heads down and try to move forward silently. It’s clear Adam has made his choice.’
The Sun reports that Ramsay commented on how beautiful his daughter looked during his wedding speech and told Adam: ‘Look at Tana, that’s what you have to look forward to.’
The publication went on to claim Adam couldn’t resist a sly dig at his absent parents and told daughter Holly: ‘It’s a shame you don’t have the same.’
It was later revealed that the swimmer’s estranged mother was “furious” and “hurt” that Ramsay had mentioned the fight between them in his speech.
A family source told the Daily Mail she was horrified at the moment of the conversation and believed the celebrity chef had ‘pre-planned’ the brutal attack on her, describing it as ‘cruel’ and ‘very hurtful’.
But Ramsay doubled down on his speech when he appeared on This Morning in January, insisting that what he had to say at the wedding ceremony was ‘perfect and warm’.
He said: ‘It’s hard to be honest. As a father of three daughters, you dream of that moment and then it comes and you’re a complete mess.
‘But the speech was excellent, it went well and you have to find that… You have to be warm, emotional… It’s a tough job.’
