Adelaide Writers’ Week fought at board level months before Bondi

The catalyst for Adelaide Writers’ Week’s collapse may have been the board’s expulsion of Randa Abdel-Fattah on January 8, but the fight over her inclusion in the program had been going on for months at board level.
In businessman and arts lover Tony Berg’s October 22 resignation letter from the board, the outspoken Palestinian-Australian writer’s invitation was cited as the primary reason for his resignation from the board of the Adelaide Festival (which oversees Adelaide Writers’ Week).
