ADF soldier dies in vehicle rollover during Townsville training exercise
A soldier died when his vehicle overturned during an Australian Defense Force training exercise in North Queensland.
Paramedics were called to the crash on Hervey Range Road, west of Townsville, just before 7pm on Wednesday and the trooper was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Two other army personnel were also injured; A man in his 30s was also taken to Townsville University Hospital with chest and abdominal injuries.
Another man in his 20s was injured in his back and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The last two patients were discharged from the hospital early Thursday.
The accident occurred during an exercise at the Townsville Field Training Area; Here in 2021, two soldiers died when a vehicle rolled down an embankment during a training exercise.

Prime Minister David Crisafulli paid tribute to those injured in the incident, as well as ADF personnel more broadly.
“We have great respect for our soldiers and women, what they do, the sacrifices they make to keep us safe,” he told parliament on Thursday morning.
