Prince William and Princess Kate return to Southport to renew promise | Royal | News

Prince William and Princess Kate returned to Southport because they continue their promises to stand next to the community after the fear attacks that ruined the town of Merseyside last summer. Three young girls, seven -year -old Elsie Dot Stancombe, six -year -old Bebe King and nine -year -old Alice Da Silva Aguiar were killed in a Taylor Swift -themed class in July last year.
Axel Rudakubana, who was sentenced to “sadist” murders in January and sentenced to at least 52 years in prison, tried to kill 10 people in an attack that the judiciary described as “shocking” and “pure evil”.
Kate and William visited Southport last October to stand by the local community following the incident. Pointing out the participation of the first people since the completion of chemotherapy, the visit saw that the couple spent time with the old families of three children and their dance teacher when the attack took place.
Kate and William then met with the emergency intervention teams who participated in an attack on a local community center to hear their experiences and to talk to the Blue Light community in Southport.
The royal couple said in a statement: “We continue to stand with everyone in Southport. Today, meeting with the community has become a strong reminder of the importance of supporting each other after the unthinkable tragedy. You will stay in our thoughts and prayers. W & C.”
A spokesman for a Kensington Palace, today, a very touching visit to the community will promise to stop, he said.
