AFL footy boss Greg Swann foreshadowes more transparency about the match review process
Greg Swann, the senior AFL figure, identified a more visible role for Michael Christian, the match officer, envisaged more transparency around the league’s post -match system to determine punishable field crimes.
Experienced manager Swann joins AFL as a football performance manager and contentious issues, including the length of the game, the match review system, to jump the ball to restart the action and the club academies will be on the agenda.
Swann has witnessed the first premiere of the club in 21 years last year for 11 years. Saying that the game is “fantastic health, Swann wants to make a few fine tuning”.
AFL put the match review process firmly on Friday night spot light after Brisbane won the Western Bulldogs in Gabba. Mro Michael Christian from AFL evaluates all the events in a football tour and a penalty is offered to players, including fines for suspending or indecision. Some events are sent to the AFL Court directly for the trial.
Swann told Kanal Seven, “One of the things I think we should do is actually explaining why we have made a decision – I don’t see any reason not to do this,” he said.

“Michael Christian can play a little more role in the media to explain how it came to certain decisions. This is something I think we should do and put it there and put it there.”
After Brisbane’s exciting victory against Bulldogs in Gabba on Friday night, a fourth straight victory-Swann for the premiere of the procurement, spoke for a long time about the transition to the league headquarters.
Swann, who had dealt with AFL General Manager Andrew Dillon for the new role in the Afl structure, wanted to see to play around the stops, but confirmed that the real 20 -minute real time would not be reduced.
