After IPL 2025, MS Dhoni’s CSK teammate returns to England to play for Gautam Gambhir’s ex-team

Khaleel Ahmed, who was ignored by the national selections for a place in the test team of the five -game series against England, returned to the country to join the district cricket. Speaking of Gambhir, he played for Essex while aiming to return to the Indian Team. India’s current coach can closely monitor Khaleel’s performance, as a backup can be called to the national team if necessary.
The inclusion of Khaleel in India during the informal test series shows that it was taken into consideration in the red ball cricket plans. This format remains without container.
Since its first release in the 2018 Asian Cup, Khaleel 11 ODI and 12 T20I. His latest appearance for the Indian team was on the Sri Lanka Tour in 2024. Although it is not part of the winner of the 2024 T20 World Cup winner, he traveled as a reserve player with the team. He played for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025.
After the district match against Yorkshire, there will be a break and Khaleel will return to the field where Essex faced Sussex on 22 July. They will then play against Warwickshire between 29 July and August. After this match, the focus will pass to the white ball cricket.
The league matches of the one-day championship are planned between 5-26 August. The two semi -finals will take place on August 31, the last set for September 20. Khaleel will return to the red ball jack on September 8 and one will participate in three additional matches that will take place after a one -day cup final.
