Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar

Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna and R Madhavan starrer Dhurandhar is one of the most awaited movies of this year. The action thriller is scheduled to hit theaters on December 5. Its trailer was initially set to release on November 12, but it was postponed following the Red Fort explosion in Delhi last week. Now Dhurandhar trailer will be unveiled at a grand event on November 18. The last update about the movie before the trailer was released excited moviegoers.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Dhurandhar will now be released in two parts and the second part will be released in the first six months of 2026. “There are reports that Dhurandhar is a two-part saga. So, the film, which will release on December 5, will be the first part. It will end at a decisive point and the story will then continue in the second part,” a source told the portal.

“Director Aditya Dhar is said to be shooting extensively and the film is shaping up really well. However, since it is too long, they toyed with the idea of splitting it into 2 parts. If that is the plan, then the 2nd part of Dhurandhar will come next year, preferably in the first half,” the source added.

Dhurandhar is the second film directed by Aditya Dhar, who made his directorial debut with the 2019 blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike. Aditya won the National Film Award for Best Director for the film Vicky Kaushal, which grossed over 340 crores worldwide. He also co-produced Dhurandhar with his and his brother Lokesh Dhar’s company B62 Studios as well as Jio Studios.

As Ranveer Singh is often compared to Ranbir Kapoor, the latter’s ambitious mythology drama Ramayana will be released in two parts on Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the epic stars Ranbir as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana and Yash as Ravana.
