AI agents drafted into cybersecurity defense forces of companies

The rise of productive AI and large language models has largely shifted the cyber security views, the attackers strengthened the attackers with realistic video and voice depths, personalized identity hunting campaigns and malicious software and malicious codes.

This opened the door for artificial intelligence in the defense. As agent AI is deeper into the business in areas such as finance and legal, cyber security AI agents become a key asset for detection, analysis and warnings.

“It is a great challenge to detect, include, investigate and answer larger companies, Brian Murphy, CEO of Cyber Security Technology Company Reliaquest CEO. “AI allows us to remove two studies of this graded or two -layer work, which is not relevant to anything that can threaten by an organization.” He said.

Putting a tool to the hands of human workers, otherwise, to release them to do more important jobs, can automate other tasks or time -consuming tasks, is often a step for the agent artificial intelligence.

One The message shared with Amazon employees in JuneCEO Andy Jassy said, “We have a strong belief that AI agents will change our work and what we live,” he said, “The billions of these agents are more exciting and entertaining today that” workers to focus on “workers” route work and strategically think strategically.

Murphy shares a similar view of cyber security, probably seeing a workers’ industry underwater with the works that they should probably not spend time, cause further burnout, and worse the current subject of the lack of ability.

He also saw the way AI was attacking companies. “These identity hunting e -mails, false writings and fonts seemed to be almost ridiculous with wrong.” He said. “AI can get the average bad actors and make them better, and therefore, if you are on the defense side, they should use AI because of the fact that AI can do.”

Reliaquest recently released what Greymatter agent teammates, autonomous, role -based AI agents.

“Think of it as a person who works with a person, and this agent wants artificial intelligence, so one knows what to do,” Murphy said, “This is like having a team -mate who takes the intervention analyst and increases his abilities.

Murphy gave a common example for any security team in a global company: international administrator travel. A laptop or mobile phone, for example, the security operations team is warned and the security team must verify that the manager is abroad and that this trip uses his devices safely. With an AI teammate, this security guard can automate this task, and even create a number of similar processes for board meetings, out -of -field or other major team meetings.

“There are hundreds of things like this,” he said.

Communications Technology Company Syniverse Chief Information and Security Officer Justin Dellaportas, AI agents can automate some of the basic cyber security tasks such as scanning along the stumps, and can start to automate actions such as quarantine from marked E -mails, and restricting them with an entry or entries such as input or entry. He said he started.

“[AI] It is used by criminals to find security deficits and abuse efficiently for scale organizations, and all of which causes them to have a higher success rate, to have earlier access, and to move to a faster organization than we see as laterally, “he said.

Although Dellaportas has a unique risk profile and tolerance in using different types of cyber security tools, each company said that the adoption of agent AI in cyber security as “scanning, walking, running methodology” stages.

“You present it and it will reason and then take action, but then it should be repeated with the actions it has been taken before.” He continued: “I’m going back to some kind of trust, but I confirm and then we trust the event, we will go to different problems.”

What does AI BOTS mean to cyber security workers?

While Dellaportas says that AI agents can take over some tasks from human cyber security experts in the future, he sees technology as a magnification to make workers more effective, not as a substitute.

Murphy accepts that he does not see that agent AI has replaced real cyber security workers, but helps with the tasks of automation with a better option, while many organizations deal with the skill gap that many organizations are struggling while filling cyber security.

“Trained and talented cyber security professionals may have a shortage, but there is no shortage of people who want to be trained in cyber security and to be talented,” he said. “The reason why the information transfer takes so long is that it is equivalent to working at an aid table when you get your entry -level job.”

Murphy said that in any part of an enterprise, he still realized that there were many education when it comes to the deployment of AI AI, and that he understood that there were concerns about how decisions were made by AI.

Dellaportas said that the helping thing is the fact that agent AI is used by all kinds of business lines, so it is not new to discuss how these AI tools can help achieve goals.

AI agents catch internal companies. Gartner’s 147 CIO and IT function leaders found that a survey, 24% already implemented several AI agents, and more than 50% of these AI agents are employed between functions such as HR and accounting compared to only 23% of the external customer’s functions.

AVivah Lan, a distinguished vice president of Gartner’s AI strategy team, said that the companies experimenting with agent AI found it “moderately useful”, but some questions about the ability of scaling beyond simpler tasks.

“Security has always been the use of low -hanged fruit for AI.” He said. “You first saw that AI has emerged with fraud determination, so we will have digital security aid to do business in the future and release new attacks in the future, the key will allow them to continue all this innovation, so that they will see the entire attack surface.”

Murphy believes that the institutional adoption and evolution of artificial intelligence in cyber security can emerge faster than finance or legal.

“They certainly understand that AI is used against them, and the only way to defend is to use it in their defense.” He said.
