Aimee Betro: US woman disguised in niqab whose gun jammed during failed assassination attempt in Birmingham jailed

During a failed assassination plan in Birmingham, a US woman hidden in a niqab stuck in a gun was imprisoned for 30 years.

On September 7, 2019, Aimee Betro flew to England before trying to hit Sikander Ali outside his house in Measham Grove in Birmingham, Yardley, Birmingham.

The jury members at Birmingham Crown Court were found guilty of the conspiracy of a 45 -year -old murder, at the same time had a self -loading pistol and fled the ban on importing ammunition on 12 August.

The jury of six men and six women met for almost 21 hours before returning their decisions with 11-1 majority.

Originally from Wisconsin, Betro, who came from Western Allis but lived in Armenia until the beginning of this year, participated in a land where 31 -year -old men were injured by 56 -year -old Mohammed Aslam and his son Muhammad Nabil Nazir.

Betro, who wears a black cardigan wearing a white upper and his hair on the dors on Thursday, did not show any feelings for his six -year -olds for the 30 years and two years imprisonment for avoiding a firearm for 30 years.

He said: “You just went beyond reaching an agreement to kill, and in fact, you planned to kill Mr. Ali. It is just a matter of chance that Mr. Ali was not killed.”
