One dead and six in hospital after gas leak at Sydney restaurant | Australia news

One person died and six people, including five police officers, are treated in the hospital after a gas leak in a restaurant in Sydney’s northwest restaurant.
The new Southern South Wales ambulance said that six people were transferred to the hospital are stable.
Emergency Services responded to a gas leakage reports in the Indian restaurant in the corner of Garfield Road and Railway Terrace in Riverstone immediately after 9 am on Tuesday morning.
Fire and rescue NSW Supervisor Adam Drewberry, said they have not yet determined the cause of the leak.
“Hazmat teams pass with various perception equipment to determine what the product is and how we can secure it,” he said.
Havel has restaurants in two places including Riverstone and Stanhope gardens.
