Air India’s New York-Mumbai flight diverted to Medina after fire indication

An Air India flight bound for Mumbai was diverted to Medina, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday afternoon, March 19, 2026, following a rear cargo fire indicator in the cockpit that turned out to be false.
