Airport, Ellenbrook and Midland train lines shut and another disrupted after carriage derailment

Three train lines across Perth were closed after a carriage derailed on Monday afternoon.

Airport, Ellenbrook and Midland lines between Perth and Redcliffe, Perth and Morley and Perth and Bassendean have all been cancelled.

It is understood that a train carriage derailed around 15.30, blocking the train line.

The incident is also causing delays on the Fremantle line and is expected to affect train lines towards the evening.

Replacement buses are being organized on the affected train lines.

Transperth has urged passengers to allow extra time and be aware that replacement buses may not connect to scheduled bus and train services.

Alternatively, a scheduled service may be offered to assist passengers.

Passengers can check a list alternative bus routes or use Trip Planner to plan their trip.

Ellenbrook line
