Airport in Tehran target of Israeli attacks
Iran’s news agency, operated by the state, said on Saturday that one of Tehran’s two airports targeted Israeli strikes overnight.
He said that the explosions hit the military part of Mehrabad Airport and damage a hangar used for war jets. The air traffic at the airport was suspended.
IRNA rejected the previous reports, where the runways of the airport were shot. Mehrabad, in the center of Tehran, first deals with internal flights and serves as the base of the government’s air fleet.
The international airport of the city is located about 40 kilometers south of the capital.
Elsewhere, several Iranian cities were under heavy bombardment overnight. In the center of Tehran, the inhabitants continued an explosion and anti -aircraft fire for hours.
