Alan Carr’s Celebrity Traitors win among moments captured
Alan Carr’s Traitors’ triumph, Katy Perry’s journey into space and Taylor Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce are among the 2025 events to get the comic treatment in a special edition of the Beano.
Beanofy Unwrapped, an eight-page special in this week’s Beano, will also see Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Sir Keir Starmer hurtling into space on an inevitable mission, accompanied by a miniature JD Vance dressed as the viral sensation Labubu.
Politicians and billionaires are forced to abandon the ship bound for Mars after it is hijacked by the Bash Street Kids.
The comic ends with the Bash Street Kids saving the day and restoring order in Beanotown.
Also inside, Dennis the Menace accidentally activates experimental technology that releases holograms of the year’s biggest moments and personalities into Beanotown.
There’s a battle of the bands between the year’s biggest touring artists, Oasis, Swift and Coldplay, before Jack Black gets pelted with popcorn in a “mutant chicken race” event inspired by the movie Minecraft.
Other famous cast members include Carr and Cat Burns from The Celebrity Traitors, Perry in a Blue Origin spacesuit, and Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.
The Beano’s director of mischief, Mike Stirling, said: “Kids have the final say on 2025 with Beanofy Unwrapped.
“All the bad, sad or boring parts are erased and 2025’s main characters are ‘Beanofed’ into the funniest versions of themselves.
“There are even some politicians reminding the ‘groaners’ that thinking like a kid can make anything funny. We’ve filled it with laughter, mischief and the kind of creativity only kids can bring, for families to enjoy together.”
