Horrifying images of people next to giant animals seconds before being attacked have resurfaced after another incident.

Last week, a skier was brutally attacked by a snow leopard after posing for a photo with it. He was posing next to a snow leopard just before he was viciously attacked. The picture shows a skier laughing happily next to the wild creature on the Koktokay slopes in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

But seconds after the shot was fired, the leopard attacked in a ferocious attack, clawing at his face and narrowly missing his skull with its razor-sharp teeth.

Blood from his wounds also seeped into his purple ski suit, which appeared heavily stained red as he was transported to the hospital. Medical staff later confirmed that the woman had survived life-threatening damage from the attack and remained in a stable condition.

When humans take the risk of approaching nature’s top predators, they are not always so lucky. Here, we examine disturbing photos of the monsters taken just before they fatally attacked their human victims.

tiger obsession

Maqsood Khan, 22, had an “obsession with tigers” and met a predictably tragic fate after entering the enclosure of a white tiger at the New Delhi Zoo in 2014.

Once inside, she caught the eye of Vijay, an endangered tiger, while horrified onlookers recorded the unfolding nightmare. Maqsood was grabbed by the throat and taken back to the animal’s den, where the young man’s fate would be decided.

An eyewitness described hearing screams before discovering the man was “writhing badly in pain” as he was trapped inside the tiger’s jaws. His mangled remains were not found for two hours until the tiger was eventually lured into a small cage.

The government later blamed Maqsood for the “misfortune”, saying he chose to ignore warnings before entering the confined space.

Photo before death

40-year-old Charles Gibbs had a passion for bears, and in April 1987 he set out on a mission to capture the perfect photo that would eventually cost him his life.

He was exploring Glacier National Park in Montana while taking photos of bears in the distance.

But after another photo was taken, this time just 50 meters away from the animals, an eerie shot emerged showing the female grizzly bear and her three cubs charging towards her.

In a panic, Charles fled down the mountain and climbed a tree until the mother bear was said to have dragged him down. He was then bitten and clawed.

Although he escaped for a while, the bear attacked again and killed him.

He was hiking on Elk Mountain with his wife, Glenda, when the tragedy occurred.

After his body was discovered, deputy park superintendent Alan O’Neill said Charles “knew what he was getting into”, adding: “In this case the intruder was the human.”

Charles was carrying a gun when he died, but his wife said he would not have harmed the bear that way.

safari massacre

In 2016, there was another fatal animal attack, this time involving a tiger, in Beijing’s Badaline Wildlife Park.

Chinese woman Ms. Zhao got out of her car to save her daughter Mei, who encountered a Siberian tiger after breaking car rules by getting out of the vehicle following a domestic dispute.

While her mother ran outside to help, Mei was dragged into the bushes by the tiger.

What happened next was captured on disturbing CCTV footage. It was seen that the mother and her husband, who were attacked by a tiger, rushed to help.

Yet Ms. Zhao suffered a cruel fate from the claws of a second tiger hiding nearby.

The wildlife park was closed pending an investigation, but reopened after it was cleared of wrongdoing despite legal action taken by the victim’s relatives.

creepy sound

The terrifying last moments of the couple, who often take part in spooky photos taken with bears, were audio recorded.

Timothy Treadwell, who called himself ‘Grizzly Man’, and Amie Huguenard were swallowed alive by a bear while in the Alaskan wilderness in October 2003.

The Grizzly Man unknowingly recorded his last moments on video camera and shouted, “Get out! I’m getting killed here!” He was heard shouting.

He had spent 13 summers camping alongside wild grizzly bears in Alaska. In the haunting recording, his terrified girlfriend screamed “play dead” after she emerged from their tent to help him.

The bear released him for a moment, but then drove him away after Timothy begged him to “hit the bear.” Her partner used a frying pan before the woman’s bloodcurdling screams echoed just before the camera stopped recording.

The couple ran out and Timothy’s head was found nearby.

Later, after he was shot, enough human remains to fill four garbage bags were removed from his stomach.
