Australia took a 1-0 lead against Norway as Storm Hunter defeated Malene Helgo 6-2, 7-6 (7-3).

After a dominant first set from Hunter, Helgo responded by firing back in the second set, but was able to take four match points in the second set tiebreak to finish the job before Hunter went to the third set.
