Alex Singleton: Denver Broncos linebacker recovering from surgery following testicular cancer diagnosis.

Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton played in their recent victory against the Las Vegas Raiders despite being diagnosed with testicular cancer a few days earlier.
The 31-year-old had surgery last Friday to remove an early-stage cancerous tumor, a day after making nine tackles in the Broncos’ 10-7 win over the Raiders at Mile High Stadium.
In an article about him Instagram account,, external Singleton said his health concerns began two weeks ago after a drug test showed high levels of the hormone hcG in his system.
Last week, a visit to a urologist who performed an ultrasound revealed the presence of testicular cancer.
Singleton predicted he is on the road to recovery from his surgery and will return to the field “in the coming weeks” as he awaits additional test results but has a “good prognosis.”
“I found it difficult to share this type of personal information publicly,” Singleton said.
“But the truth is, if it helps a person decide to pay more attention to their body, then it’s worth it.
“Early diagnosis and regular screenings save lives and can save your loved ones a lot of pain.”
