EV giant to open Mumbai showroom on July 15

Tesla Next week, Mumbai will open a showroom in India and mark the first official entry of US electric car manufacturers to the country.
According to an event invitation by CNBC, one and a half hours of launch for Tesla “Experience Center” will take place on July 15 at Maker Maxity Mall in the Bandon Kurla Complex in Mumbai.
In addition to the company’s showroom screen, which includes its cars, Tesla is likely to officially start direct sales to Indian customers.
The car manufacturer has looked at India for a while and now seems to have increased its efforts to be launched locally.

Tesla does not have a production operation in India, but the country’s government is probably willing to establish a factory. Instead, cars sold in India will have to be imported from other production places in Tesla’s Shanghai, China and Berlin and Germany.
When Tesla starts sales in India, it will for a long time oppose the difficulties of the Chinese rival byd, as well as local player Tata Motors.
