America Gives the Green Light to Advanced Chips to G42 Group of The UAE is turning out to become the new center of artificial intelligence in the world

By approving advanced AI chips for the UAE’s G42, the US has accelerated a massive, secure AI computing corridor and established the UAE as a trusted global hub.
(UAE’s) G42 Group has been given the green light by the US to import the most advanced AI chips; According to the White House, this would demonstrate that both countries have great trust in each other and accelerate the transition to planning for the real implementation of the largest AI computing corridor between the UAE and the US.
The approval authorizes G42 to launch the Stargate UAE project 1 gigawatt AI computing complex, which the company is building in the UAE with Oracle, Cisco, NVIDIA and Social Bank, as well as OpenAI, and the 5 gigawatt AI campus it plans to deploy across the region.
With this milestone, the UAE positions itself as a safe and reliable alternative to the US and Asian data center hubs, strengthening its status as a new global hub for artificial intelligence that combines exceptional performance with geopolitical confidence, marking the beginning of an entirely new phase in the global race for technological supremacy.
Peng Xiao, CEO of G42, said: “This announcement marks a real milestone. We are decisively moving from planning to implementation, setting a new global benchmark for secure, high-performance computing. Everything we build in the UAE will be fully matched in the US, delivering the same performance and reliability at every facility.”
The chips will operate under the Regulated Technology Environment (RTE) framework developed by G42 and approved by the US Department of Commerce, making the UAE the only country in the region to implement this level of compliance with US export control standards.
Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the UAE Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council, emphasized: “This decision reaffirms the depth of the strategic partnership between the two countries. Technology is not just a tool for progress; it is a platform for economic stability, regional security and long-term cooperation. We are proud that the UAE has become Washington’s most reliable partner in this field.”
The decision also strengthens G42’s partnerships with Microsoft, AMD, Qualcomm, Cerebras and others. This follows the company’s management of three of the world’s top 500 supercomputers and the recent launch in New York of “Maximus-01,” ranked 20th globally.
The approval comes as G42 already operates three Top500 supercomputers (ranked second and third regionally) and the newly launched “Maximus-01,” which slots in at No. 20 globally. The company’s footprint now spans Abu Dhabi, France and several US states, including California, Minnesota, Texas and New York.
With this licensing step, the UAE officially becomes the most secure and highest-performing AI node outside the United States, opening a new chapter in the global race for secure massive-scale computing.
G42 is a leading global technology group focused on creating and developing AI solutions to shape a better future. Founded in Abu Dhabi, the company operates globally and promotes artificial intelligence as a transformative force for the public good across many sectors.
