Americast – How did a YouTuber stop federal funding to Minnesota?

Available for more than a year
The Trump administration froze child care payments for the state of Minnesota after conservative YouTuber Nick Shirley alleged that many centers run by Somali immigrants were taking public money without providing care. Since it was uploaded, the video has garnered a lot of attention from the likes of JD Vance and Elon Musk, leading the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to announce that the agency will target “blatant fraud that appears to be widespread in Minnesota.” Despite management’s response to the story, some mainstream media outlets found no evidence of fraud; Some conservatives think the story hasn’t received enough mainstream media coverage. What is the truth behind Nick Shirley’s claims and what does this mean for Minnesota and the Somali community? And Zohran Mamdani was sworn in as mayor of New York. He gave a speech in front of City Hall promising to show the world that America’s political Left could govern. What obstacles will he face in his journey as mayor, and how much will that depend on his relationship with Donald Trump?
