Kashmiri Parents Thank Govt For Evacuation Efforts, Urge Faster Action To Ensure Students’ Safe Return From Iran | India News

New Delhi: The situation in Iran is worsening day by day, and the situation of Kashmir students stuck in Iran continues to be critical and gives sleepless nights to thousands of parents in Kashmir. The Indian government continues with the Sindhu operation to get Indian students back. Parents want the government to see more acceleration by seeing the worsening situation in Iran.
Jammu and Kashmir Student Association said that 140 Kashmir students from Tehran University moved to Gilan province in Iran during the ongoing crisis. They have a deep distress and urgently object to evacuation. Students have moved to a safer place by the university administration, but are based on tremendous mental and emotional trauma due to ongoing uncertainty and worsening security. This is the group in which two Kashmir students were wounded after they were shot by Shrapnel during a nearby air strike. The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) to evacuate these students at the earliest and to ensure that they can safely return home. Parents, whose children were still stuck, urgently invited the government to bring their children back.
Muhammad Suleyman Bhat
“I have a daughter studying in Iran. But all the children who are stuck in Iran are my children. As parents, we are worried about them. The evacuation plan has been going on for the last seven days; they brought their children from various colleges and universities to more secure places where they could be removed by MEA.”
Approximately 600 Indian students, including 500 from Kashmir, reached Mashhad from Qom safely. This is the second group of students who have previously moved to QOM and is reported to have currently continuing.
Nissar Ahmad, who is a parent, said, “As you know, there is a war between Iran and Israel. Therefore, our children are in a lot of trouble. The communication system does not work properly and we talked with them very shortly. He said that we were in contact with them and said that the situation was not good, but they said that they said that they were not good, Appeal to shift to a safe place.
In the first stage of the evacuation, the Indian government released 110 students from India, including 94 of the Kashmir Valley. And all these students reached their homes in Kashmir today. They all praised Mea’s efforts, and the Indian Embassy said that other students were gathered, but at the same time the situation worsened there. The last year MBBS student from Dialgam Anantnag, who was lucky, returned home today.
The last year, Tawheed-ul-Islam, a student of MBBS, said that the situation in Iran is getting worse every day, this is a war zone, so the Indian government gave orders to the Iranian Embassy to evacuate all the students to evacuate all the students. We are grateful to the Indian Government, which provides us with help everywhere, and finally 94 students reached the house safely.
Mehak Hussain, another student who returned, explained the horror of the Iranian situation and said, ık We have seen a few attacks by us. We thought that this would be good before, but we thought that the situation was tense in Iran. But we are grateful to the Indian Embassy, safe and safe return. ”
Indian citizens in Iran are advised to communicate with the Embassy in India in Tehran through the Emergency Aid Line and the 224/7 control room established by the new Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the new Delhi. However, the parents of Kashmir students are deeply worried about the concentrated conflict. The sporadic internet and telephone connection in Iran made it more difficult for students to communicate with their families. The Indian Embassy coordinates with universities such as Shiraz University and Islamic Azad University to facilitate evacuation. Students were advised to switch to safer areas such as writing or Mashhad, but many are still waiting for transportation.
