The long-awaited Epstein files were released Friday, shedding new light on the inner life of the convicted sexual predator.
The Department of Justice published the documents on its website and organized the material into four separate data sets.
The trove contains images from Epstein’s homes, including rooms adorned with nude photographs and distinctive bright blue carpets. However, the Ministry of Justice did not provide any content regarding the images of the people in the files.
Other records detail Epstein’s relationships with high-profile figures such as Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, Kevin Spacey and other famous figures.
Photos of former President Bill Clinton smiling at parties and swimming with women appear prominently in the files.
The release of more than 600,000 pages related to Epstein this year led the Trump administration to describe itself as the “most transparent in history” following Friday’s announcement.
An initial review shows that the documents released today stem from three separate investigations into Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes against young women.
Most of the files appear to stem from a 2005 police investigation in Palm Beach, Florida, and a subsequent federal investigation that resulted in Epstein’s controversial plea deal in 2008.
Others relate to a later investigation launched by Manhattan prosecutors in 2019; This case was never completed after Epstein died in prison while awaiting trial.
