New information obtained from Jeffrey Epstein’s emails suggests that an associate of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor sought the pedophile’s help to buy property in one of the world’s most secretive countries. David Stern, who worked with the former Duke of York at Pitch@Palace, approached the convicted sex offender in 2018 and asked for advice on how to reach North Korea, according to the documents.
He wrote in one message that he wanted to see “No. 1,” widely interpreted as a reference to dictator Kim Jong-un, and asked if U.S. political figures could help him gain entry. Two days later, he pressed Epstein on whether former Trump adviser Steve Bannon could help, adding that he wanted to buy “prime real estate” in the isolated state and had the “money” to do it. Epstein reportedly responded that he was “not sure about the sanctions.”
The exchanges are included in the latest trove of Epstein communications released by the U.S. Department of Justice.

They argue that Mr. Stern served as a conduit between Mr. Epstein and Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor during the years when Pitch@Palace operated out of Buckingham Palace.
These revelations raise further questions about Andrew’s inner circle around the time he was known to be involved with disgraced financier Epstein.
Mr. Stern, a German financier who was fluent in Mandarin, had extensive business interests in Asia.
He was Andrew’s official assistant and was named director of Andrew’s Pitch@Palace business venture.
Also the late Queen Elizabeth II. He was introduced to Elizabeth and sat next to her at an event at St James’s Palace.

Accordingly TelegramMr. Stern also entered into a secret business deal with the Chinese state in 2013 through its health technology fund.
The correspondence shows that he and Epstein tried to leverage the former duke’s influence to expand networks in China.
Photos show Mountbatten-Windsor meeting some of Stern’s contacts in the UK and abroad, and accompanying the German on trips to China and Southeast Asia while he served as trade envoy.
After leaving Pitch@Palace in 2019, Stern moved into consulting and advisory roles, including work affiliated with Madison Square Garden Entertainment.
A planned project to bring a Sphere venue to Seoul ultimately failed to materialize. It appears he is currently in Abu Dhabi.
Stern also once asked Epstein to be the godfather of his child; Stern declined the request, describing him as a “good friend”.
Just because it’s in the Epstein files doesn’t mean anything wrong was done.
The Express was unable to find public contact information for Mr. Stern. It contacted St George’s House Trust, where Mr Stern was a director before resigning, according to Companies House.
