Asked whether he meant that forces from Britain and other European allies should go to the safe havens of Ukraine to “flip a switch”, he said: “Yes, you know, if we are willing to do that in the context of a ceasefire, which of course puts all the initiative, all the power in Putin’s hands, why wouldn’t we do it now?”
