Andrew’s comment about Princess Kate that was final straw for William | Royal | News

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Prince William may be related, but their relationship appears to be quite strained. While William, 43, has publicly expressed his displeasure with his uncle over the past few years, tensions have allegedly been rising between the two men for some time.
Andrew, 65, reportedly once made rude remarks about William’s wife, Princess Catherine. This was a claim made by Andrew Lownie in his book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, published this year, which contributed to Andrew’s downfall.
In the book, Lownie said he was told by a source that the relationship between William and his uncle Andrew began to suffer when Andrew first began facing accusations linked to his previous friendship with late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has always denied these accusations.
It is unknown whether William and Catherine attended private family events with Andrew behind closed doors.
But that’s not something they’ll have to worry about for Christmas, as Andrew hasn’t been invited to Sandringham to spend it with the Royal Family.
Instead, it is believed that he would spend the day at the Royal Lodge or with friends while still living there.
