Second man charged with murder after daylight shooting in Blacktown
A second man has been charged with the murder of a 28-year-old man who was shot in Sydney’s west on Friday morning.
Emergency services responded to reports of a shooting on Carinya Street in Blacktown at around 11.50am on Friday and found Mal Seve, 28, with gunshot wounds to his neck, chest and leg.
Seve, who was intervened by medical teams, died at the scene.

A black Mazda ute allegedly fled the scene and was pursued by police before crashing on nearby Kildare Road. Two men, aged 18 and 25, allegedly fled the scene but were arrested a short time later.
The 18-year-old was accused of murder two days ago. He was also charged with taking and driving a vehicle without the owner’s permission, dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.

The 25-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries and taken to Blacktown Police Station after being discharged on Sunday.
A police spokesman said he was charged with murder, using an offensive weapon to prevent lawful custody, carrying in a vehicle without the owner’s consent, obstructing or resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty and breaching bail.
The man, who was refused bail, is expected to appear in Blacktown Local Court on Monday.
