PM Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping Hold Bilateral Talks In Tianjin | India News

Hours before the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the port city of Tianjin. After a five -year tense relationship, the two leaders were photographed together before the bilateral meeting, both of them. During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi congratulated President Jinping’s successful presidency of China’s SCO, and hoped that the relationship between the two countries would be based on mutual trust.
“I congratulate you for the successful presidency of China. Thank you for visiting China and inviting our meeting today.” He said. Prime Minister Modi said that the Indian-China relations healed after his meeting with President XI in Kazan. “Last year, in Kazan, we had a very productive discussions that gave a positive direction to our relations. After the separation of the border, a peace and stability atmosphere was created.”
PM Modi stressed that an agreement has been reached between special representatives on border management. “Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has been restarted. The direct flights between the two countries continue. The interests of 2.8 billion people from both countries will be linked to our cooperation. This will lead to the welfare of all humanity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Tianjin on Saturday evening and pointed to his first trip to China for more than seven years. After a two -day visit to Japan, Binhai landed at the International Airport.
On August 31, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit will begin at the Meijiang Congress and Exhibition Center in Tianjin. On the Opening Day, a welcome ceremony, a group of photography sessions, and then the reception and concert of the leaders.
