ED summons cricketer Shikhar Dhawan in illegal betting app case

Official sources told PTI on Thursday, as the Executive Directorate (ED) was questioned in connection with a money laundering case attached to an illegal betting application.

According to PTI sources, his statement would be recorded under the prevention of the law of money laundering (PMLA) as a part of the probe.

According to them, it is believed that the 39 -year -old child is associated with the application through certain approvals, and researchers want clarity about his role during inquiry.
ED is investigating multiple cases depending on illegal betting practices, which have doubled Rupi Rupi investors or escaped significant amounts in taxes.

In August, former cricket player Suresh Raina was questioned by the agency on the same topic.
