Another explosive scare! Uttarakhand Police seize 20 Kg Gelatin Cache outside school in Almora; check details

There were fears of a fresh explosion in Almora district of Uttarakhand after a large amount of gelatin sticks were found outside a government school. It was seen that the pile weighing more than 20 kg was stuffed into polyethylene bags. Police arrested four persons from Delhi Rohini in connection with the incident.

The latest blast in Delhi has sent shockwaves across the country as authorities have tightened security across the country as part of investigations into the deeper link in the blast case. In a related incident, there were fears of a fresh explosion in Uttarakhand’s Almora district after a large quantity of gelatin sticks were found outside a government school.
The pile, weighing more than 20 kg, was found stuffed in polythene bags in the bushes in Sult area by the principal of the Government High School in Dabara village. When Subhash Singh first found the sticks, he immediately alerted the authorities. After searching the area, authorities said they found 161 explosive-grade gelatin sticks. According to officials, these rods are widely used in construction and mining.

The incident comes two weeks after nearly 3,000 kg of explosive material was seized in Faridabad ahead of the Delhi blast case. As soon as the authorities found the explosives, security intervention was immediately initiated.
Two police teams were sent to the area, which cordoned off the area and called in bomb disposal experts and dog teams from Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital. Canine teams guided officers to multiple packs scattered in remote spots in the bush, some as far as 20 feet away. The bomb squad then seized the material, sealed it and shifted it to a safe place.
A case was registered against unknown persons under Section 4(a) of the Explosive Substances Act, 1908 and Section 288 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
In another incident, Delhi police on Saturday busted a major international arms racket that was supplying weapons manufactured in Türkiye and China. The weapons were reportedly purchased by gangs linked to notorious gangsters such as Lawrence Bishnoi, Bambiha and Gogi Himanshu Bhai. According to reports, the racket was linked to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and was supplying high-end weapons to gangsters in the national capital region (NCR) and neighboring states. The shipments entered India via drones via Punjab and were then delivered to the recipients.
Police arrested four persons from Delhi’s Rohini area in connection with the ruckus.
