Another migrant becomes latest to die trying to cross English Channel

Another person was the last person who died of trying to cross the British channel with an increase in illegal attempts this weekend.

On Sunday morning, the body was found on a beach near the Boulogne-Sur-Mer in Northern France, although their ages and nationalities are not yet known.

In spite of the stable increase in French sources, there is no sign that attempts have slowed down – with important financial support from the United Kingdom – to prevent dangerous transitions.

The British government has been under pressure on the number of small boats and asylum seekers who passed to England.

This year, the number of people passing through the channel illegally has been more than 50,000 since it came to power in July 2024.
