Norway switches hotels before England World Cup quarterfinal in Miami

Ahead of the biggest football match in the country’s history, Norway had to make some last-minute logistical changes.
Norway will face England in the World Cup semi-final at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Saturday, but the Norwegian players apparently weren’t getting much rest.
According to The Independent, the players requested a hotel change due to “noise and disruption from the road outside their original hotel, as well as a nearby construction site”.

The team was staying at the Dalmar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale but has now moved to a hotel even closer to the stadium.
“It was brutal to have to move, but we are happy with the new location and everyone is happy now,” a team representative told Fox News Digital.
“Some may fear that this will affect the players, but the players asked for this more than anyone else. We have strong people in our support team and we managed to move in two and a half hours. The process of changing hotels is not ideal, but we wanted to act as soon as possible. Having a good atmosphere is the most important.

“We were going to stay in Miami for a week and now we’ve been in the United States for six weeks and we’re going to play in the biggest game in Norwegian history. We’ve survived the cabin excitement so far and we don’t want the risk of that anymore. FIFA has agreed that we have to move to another hotel.”
The Independent said FIFA had agreed to pay for the new hotel’s 50 rooms and security, while the Norwegian FA would pay any extra fees to accommodate the hotel change.
Erling Haaland carried Norway past Brazil in the last 16 by scoring two goals in the second half on Sunday.

The players in the team have also been struggling with an illness lately.
This is the fourth time Norway has played in the World Cup and the first since 1998, but this team managed to win for their country. They advanced past the Round of 16 for the first time.
