Anthony Albanese’s smart pact with Indonesia’s Prabowo Subianto

Given all the attention in the liberal circus this week, Anthony Albanese’s signing of the Joint Security Agreement with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto went almost unnoticed; This was the second major security agreement with Indonesia in just over a year.
The new agreement is this: very clearly — It is closely modeled on the first historic agreement signed in 1995 between Paul Keating and Indonesia’s former president Suharto. There appears to be at least one area of foreign and security policy that Keating has not studiously ignored; because Albanese considers his pathological determination to bring Australia further into the US military apparatus against China.
