Cameroon ‘military contractors’ killed in Russia-Ukraine war

While Cameroon has refrained from commenting publicly on its citizens participating in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Reuters news agency reported seeing an internal memo in March 2025 in which the defense minister expressed concerns about soldiers leaving the country to fight in Ukraine and asked civil servants to monitor their units.
