Anti-Terror Operation in Kulgam Enters 9th Day

Srinagar: Authorities, Jammu and Kashmir’in Kulgam in the ninth day of armed conflicts on Saturday, four security personnel were wounded, said one of the longest anti-terrorist operations in the vadide.

He said that eleven security personnel were injured in the operation since the beginning of the operation. The operation is still going on and more details are expected.

After the security forces started a cord and search operation in a forest area in Akhal in the Southern Kashmir region, two terrorists began on August 1 following the private intelligence inputs about the existence of terrorists there.

Authorities, last Friday after the first fire exchange between the two sides were stopped during the night, but the cord was strengthened and additional supplements to the region was hurry.

When the fire continued the next day, two terrorists were killed. The identity of the massacred terrorists and the group relationship has not been determined so far.

The security forces continued a strict cord in the region and continued to fight terrorists hiding in dense forests.

Authorities, Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Nalin Prabhat and the Northern Commander of the Army LT Gen Practical Sharma, including senior police and army officers, said the operation closely.

Security forces, drones and helicopters to monitor terrorists in the forest region were put into service. Money commandos also helped to neutralize the ultras of hiding to security forces.
