FIRST ON FOX: Fox News Digital consulted exclusively with the antisemitism research institute to release a comprehensive report at the 11th hour outlining its concerns about New York City’s socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. With just hours until Election Day, the report underscores the intense scrutiny the socialist candidate faces.

“It is incumbent on voters to understand the ideological context that Zohran Mamdani comes from and espouses,” Charles Asher Small, founding director of the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, told Fox News Digital.

The report of its establishment titled, “Zohran Mamdani: From SJP to Gracie Mansion?” He dives into Mamdani’s past and comes forward. explains controversial views His father, a professor at Columbia University, talks about Israel, how Zohran founded Students for Justice in Palestine at Bowdoin College, his past statements and stances, and a list of anti-Israel people who supported him for mayor.

The report concludes with a section exploring the consequences of Mamdani’s agenda.

“He has repeatedly refused to condemn the slogan ‘globalize the intifada,’ ignoring the fact that the word intifada is synonymous with terrorist attacks, suicide bombings and incitement to murder Jews,” the report states. Mamdani denied this openly condemn Instead of using the phrase, he simply said he would “encourage” others to use it.

The report states that Mamdani “belittled” the massacre carried out by Hamas on October 7 and called Israel’s response “genocide” and criticized it for introducing a bill that would “penalize New York charities that support Israel.”

mamdani sparked a political storm Last month, he drew the ire of the law enforcement community after posting a smiling photo with Imam Siraj Wahhaj, the Brooklyn cleric who served as a character witness for the mastermind of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and has long been an advocate for convicted terrorists, raising funds for their legal defense.

While the ISGAP report talks about this association, it also examines some other controversial connotations that the Mamdani campaign has with radical Islam. Fox News Digital reported last weekThis included receiving a $100,000 donation from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) through its super PAC “despite being named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terrorist financing case.”

“The normalization of anti-Semitism and anti-democratic rhetoric is now mainstream,” Small told Fox News Digital.

“The radical left, the far right, and radical political Islam are attacking the democratic center, and these different political movements use anti-Semitism as a core element of their ideology, scapegoating Jews and blaming Jews for everything that is wrong,” he said. “It is important to understand that words and ideas lead to action. Mamdani’s anti-Semitic rhetoric will inevitably lead to increased hatred and violence.”

Hundreds of rabbis came together last month to oppose Mamdani, declaring in a letter that Jewish Americans “cannot remain silent” against discrimination against Jewish people and calling on voters to reject Mamdani, Fox News Digital reported.

Despite fervent opposition from many in the Jewish community and numerous viral clips showing Mamdani using what he calls incendiary language against Israel, Mamdani is clearly ahead in the polls heading into the election and has support from some Jewish leaders.

“There is significant economic, social and political marginalization in New York and across the country,” Small told Fox News Digital about Mamdani’s popularity. “People become frustrated because their needs are not being met. In times of stress, populism and extremism become more attractive. Mamdani seems to appeal to the disenfranchised, especially young people. He offers fantastic policies that are attractive but impossible to implement.”

In the report’s conclusion, ISGAP argues that a Mamdani victory could potentially “shatter the city’s fragile social trust and undo decades of hard-won progress in protecting Jewish life.”

“The rise of Zohran Mamdani is not just the story of an ambitious local politician caught up in a wave of discontent over rents and inequality,” the report said. The statement is included.

“This is the story of how radical anti-Zionism has been repackaged as socialist, populist, progressive politics, and how this ideology now threatens to erode the sense of security of the Jewish community in New York, the largest Jewish community outside Israel, and to whitewash and legitimize anti-Zionism, support for terrorism, and even anti-Semitism.”

Fox News Digital has reached out to the Mamdani campaign for comment.
