AP cadre IAS officer A. Vani Prasad reallocated to Telangana cadre

The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has directed the Andhra Pradesh government to immediately remove senior IAS officer A. Vani Prasad for re-appointment to the Telangana cadre, as per an order of the Telangana High Court. According to a statement, the DoPT directive follows the Supreme Court’s decision to shift the officer, who originally belonged to the unified Andhra Pradesh cadre before bifurcation, from the Andhra Pradesh cadre to the Telangana cadre. The communication also emphasizes that he should be directed to join the Telangana government without delay.
